Subway Sorrow
1)
There she is with her empty look
She does not seem to notice that you are there
Two shaking hands reach for the book
Neither does she notice that people glare
2)
Where she has been should be easy to tell
She haven’t slept since she left her house
Two kids at home and she work at a motel
This is why she wears her filthy blouse
Ref)
This is my point of view of a subway sorrow
If you open your eyes, you might see it tomorrow
You really do not know how much a kindly smile is worth
Have an open mind, it might bring peace to earth
3)
When she gets home should be around 7’oclock
She has to make sure that her kids go to school
Two streets from the station and around the block
Every time she leaves, she has to be careful
4)
How she manage to be such a good mom
She even makes dinner when she is off her second job
Two kids sent out with a wish of a good outcome
Everything she does is to protect them from the mob
5)
There she is again with the same empty look
She does seem to notice that you gave her a smile
A shaking hand puts away the book
Now she knows and she smiles for a while
